How To Ensure You Get Shredded In 2015

What’s holding you back from getting the physique of your dreams? Is it the lack of information? Is it the lack of having a goal? OR is it that you have these ‘limiting beliefs’ sitting on your mind that you need to destroy before they destroy you.

You see, most people will tell you that you’re not achieving success in fitness and health because you don’t have goals in place. Now while that is certainly part of the battle, a major focus that most people miss is understanding what you actually BELIEVE you can do. (or what you believe you can’t do)

Limiting beliefs are a common trait amongst all of us and often it’s these limiting beliefs that are actually stalling us, holding us back and stopping us from achieving what we want to achieve.

Limiting beliefs are things like:

– I don’t have enough time to train to get the physique I want
– I can’t be social if I want to get a six-pack
– I don’t know enough about training or nutrition to enhance my physique
– It’s impossible to work, look after the kids, be social and find time to train and eat well in order to look great.

There’ll be days where you think to yourself ‘man, I’d love to get in the best shape of my life this year and get that six pack I’ve always wanted’ only to have that little inner voice say ‘Are you kidding! you’re, too old, you’re too overweight and you have a bung knee! You’ve tried every other year and you just can’t do it’.

That cynicism, that limiting belief IS WHAT’S HOLDING YOU BACK, and if you don’t address these, it doesn’t matter how many goals you set, if you don’t BELIEVE you can achieve them, you’re not going to get very far!

Limiting beliefs are human nature, and have been a part of our culture for decades and I’d go as far to say as centuries.

A great example is that of THE 4 MINUTE MILE. Runners and athletes were absolutely convinced that humans could not run faster than 4 minutes in a mile. And yet there was one man who believed he could do it and he set out to do so. To prove the thousands and thousands of naysayers that in fact it could be don.

Robert Banister did that EXACT thing in 1954 when he ran a mile in 3minutes 59.3 seconds.

You see, It’s all about BELIEVING in the possibility and breaking down those barriers that are living inside your head.

Think about this for a minute – What if you didn’t have any limiting beliefs, what would your life look like? What would YOU look like?

So in order to make this mind-shift, in order to break away from those limiting beliefs you need to do yourself a favour and embrace possibilities when you think about 2015.

This is the year you’re going to break through the barriers that have held you back for so long.

This is the year you’re going to get that six-pack, squat 400 pounds or get the physique of your dreams.

Here’s what you can do right now to get the ball moving:

Take 5min and write down 10 things that you feel are limiting you from achieving your fitness/health goal.

Then go through each of these and really think about whether these are actually justifiable or their just made up excuses in your head.

I remember when I first did this exercise for the first time (not that long ago) and I thought there were a number of limiting things I couldn’t do. I sat there for a long time thinking about them and then asked myself – how are others able to do it? How are others in similar or worse situations than me able to overcome these hurdles?

It was here that my mind shifted and that’s when I knew these limiting beliefs were in my own head.

The biggest I’ve dealt with (and still to this day) is around time, where I keep telling myself that I’m limited in what I can achieve because I don’t have time. I set out to prove that wrong by transforming my physique significantly over the past 12 weeks.

I was able to do this by continuing to tell myself that I can get in the best shape of my life, even at 36 years of age and with 2 little kids. I’ve never been busier and yet I was able to do this simply by BELIEVING.

So do this right now. The best time to do this is RIGHT NOW. Don’t let the day get away from you and Do it now and make it happen.
